Training

Welcome Guest

Where can I find training in Wildlife practices?

NRCS has a Memorandum of Understanding with The Wildlife Society. The Wildlife Society has a Certified Wildlife Biologist program and serves as a Recommending Organization for recommending individuals to NRCS for NRCS certification in the category of Wildlife and Fisheries. Check with them on training they have available or may recommend. Their web site is http://www.wildlife.org.

How does a potential TSP obtain training for Conservation Planning Modules 1-5? Can any of the NRCS training courses be completed over the internet?

Anyone can take the first five modules of the Conservation Planning Course, self-paced, off of the Internet. Information about this course can be found at http://www.aglearn.usda.gov.

Who will train technical service providers?

Technical service providers may use a variety of training opportunities including recommending organizations and Universities, etc. NRCS also provides on-line training at http://www.aglearn.usda.gov.
